About qscqesze

Hi, I’m qscqesze, based in Beijing, China. This site is a small room I keep on the internet for travel, technology, games, and ideas that occasionally surface.

I want it to feel less like a portfolio and more like a study that is always being reorganized. In technical writing, I try to make complicated ideas clear. In travel writing, I pay attention to history and the texture of being there. When I write about games, I care about rules, feedback, and the choices people make.

By day, I’m a software engineer at MiniMax, working on scalable systems and AI-driven product experiences. To me, engineering is not only about making features work. It is also about finding structures that remain stable and legible in a complicated world.

In my spare time, I make independent games as SurprisingStudio. A game is another kind of system: it has rules, feedback, emotion, and surprise, much like life itself. A good game should invite exploration; so should a good question.

I enjoy game design and algorithm optimization, and I also like documentaries about space exploration. The former makes me think about how rules shape choices; the latter reminds me that the world is much larger than everyday life. Writing code, making games, traveling, and looking at the stars often seem to be different ways of asking the same question: how do people find their direction in the unknown?

If you also enjoy taking things apart, asking how a place became what it is today, or simply reading carefully written observations, you are always welcome here.
